Come celebrate Our Founder’s Birthday. Free birthday cake & lemonade while listening to live music featuring Gopher Broke playing traditional bluegrass music in a country setting. The Poore Farm Museum is a historic homestead/settlement documenting one family's life from the 1830s to the 1980s. Come to a real old fashioned Old Home Day; this town has been practicing how to do it right for 81 years. This event starts with a parade down New Hampshire's longest main street. Crafts displays are numerous and the flea market includes an old engine display, cotton candy, popcorn, t-shirt sales and lunch wagon Contests include photography, cooking and flower arrangements. A delicious chicken barbecue at the Pittsburg School will be presented by the Senior Class. A fishing derby for the kids; some nice fish have been caught from that kids' pond.

Friday's activities will begin in Colebrook with tree farm tour, moose mud pond fun and games, art show, music and magician at the bandstand, chicken barbecue, about 100 classic car parade, and guided moose tours. Trail rides leave from ATV Trailhead on Route 3 in Stratford beginning at 8:30am. Destination Stratford Hollow for the theme-based parade. Parade includes floats, old cars, tractors, animals and members of the ATV Club. Games for all ages: Kids (sawdust scramble); Teenagers (greased pole w/money at top); Adults (skillet-throwing contest). Other activities include a petting zoo, raffles, music & yard sales. Free lunch at noon and it is mighty appreciated if you bring on of your favorite dishes to share.

Fun for the whole family! Before the start, walk around and see the teams getting ready to go and talk to the crews and handlers. Watch the start, and then proceed to road crossings where the teams can be seen in the process of racing. Then go to the finish line and see who wins! Included in the races will be a short race of 15 miles (7 dog-teams or less) and a longer race of 30 miles (open). On Saturday, the Stratford Youth Group will be providing a light breakfast, a light lunch and a spaghetti dinner. There will be a fee for these meals. Here is entertainment at its best! When the snowmobilers register, riders are dealt a five-card hand and given directions for the well-groomed 35-mile trail thorough North Country’s spectacular scenery. They make five stops, one for each card, and may purchase as many hands as they would like. Great food, door prizes, raffles and drawings accompany the event and provide a day of enjoyment for the whole family. At the end of the day riders will enjoy the live band and entertainment at the Outback Pub.
