Brown Company House
site of the Northern Forest Heritage Park, Berlin. Historic exhibits, summer lecture series, special events. Built in 1853.

Cates Hill
on the west side of Berlin, an expansive scenic view of the White Mountains, and surrounding country side.

Evans Notch
a winding country road through the forest that opens up to mountain views at the notch picnic area. A fall foliage favorite! Route 113 South from Gilead, ME on Route 2.

Holy Resurrection Church
1915, in the National Register of Historic Places, 20 Petrograd Street, Berlin.

Mt. Jasper
located within Berlin city limits, at the end of Willard St., an archeological site of a prehistoric mine used by Indians. Many artifacts displayed in the Berlin Public Library.

Nansen Ski Jump
second highest steel tower jump in the U.S. (181'), erected in 1936. Route 16 just north of Berlin City limits.

St. Anne's Church
Roman Catholic, well known architectural wonder in the National Register of Historic Places, 58 Church St., Berlin.

Towns of Colebrook/Errol

Dixville Notch
spectacular rocky gorge on Route 26 between Colebrook and Errol.

Gorham Hill
west of Gorham on U.S. Route 2, an impressive scenic view of the Presidential Range and Mt. Washington.

Thirteen Mile Woods
a beautiful drive through undeveloped and uninhabited woods along the Androscoggin River where moose are frequently sighted. A favorite spot for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. North of Berlin, Route 16 to Errol, NH.

Glen Ellis Falls
65 foot falls in Pinkham Notch on Route 16, at the head of the Ellis River Valley, a short trail is within easy access from parking area.

Mt. Washington
the highest mountain in the northeastern U.S. at 6,288', is a 10-minute drive from Gorham. The highest wind velocity ever recorded on the Earth was on top of this mountain, which is accessible by car, cog railway and numerous hiking trails. On the summit, it can snow any months of the year. In the summer, various races are held to the top where you'll find a museum about the mountain's natural and man-made history.

Pinkham Notch
scenic notch between the Presidential and Carter-Moriah Mountain Ranges, passing by the base of Mt. Washington and Wildcat Mountain, Route 16 south from Gorham.

Presidential Range
dramatic peaks rising above timberline, the center of which is Mt. Washington. Named for Presidents Monroe, Franklin, Eisenhower, Clay, Jefferson, Adams, and Madison.

Railroad Museum
many varied memorabilia from the time when railroads were the main form of transportation in the North Country. Across from the Gorham Common and Town Hall on Railroad Street in Gorham.

Tuckerman's Ravine
a ravine at the timberline on Mt. Washington that is very popular with hikers, and is known throughout the U.S. for spring skiing... rivaling the snowfields of Europe. Accessible by hiking from the Appalachian Mountain Club Camp on Route 16 in Pinkham Notch.

Town of Shelburne

Shelburne, New Hampshire
Shelburne is a beautiful town, located at the Northern end of the Mount Washington Valley. Close to anything, yet miles away from everything.

Shelburne Birches
renowned painted and photographed white birches along Route 2 in Shelburne, a Memorial Forest to U.S. Service Veterans.

Stone Fish
a natural formation of stone shaped as a fish, on the south side of Route 2 heading east in Shelburne, also the site of a natural spring.
